From time to time, people have asked me why I became a photographer or why I chose photography as my career or why I love taking pictures. For a very long time I was never really able to answer those types of questions and I am not sure I am really able to answer them now. There are people, who can, without hesitation, tell you exactly why they do what they do and why they are passionate about it. My simple answer was always “because”. I never took the time to stop to find the words of my why. It was always just a feeling for me!
In any situation I have always had a hard time putting my feelings into words. But over time I have become better at explaining why I do what I do and why I am so passionate about creating ever lasting moments with my clients. Never in a million years would I have expected to be where I am now!
I believe every client should have their unique story told! No matter what that story is they want to tell! I am here to help bring it to life for you because every client should be excited to tell their story. It excites me to be able to create creative sessions, designed specifically for my clients individual needs. Everyone is unique and different! Everyone should be cherished! Everyone should feel good about themselves and feel seen!
The raw emotions I am able to capture in any of the precious moments in your life, while you are doing something you love, with the people who mean the most, helps to tell your unique story! Nothing needs to be forced or feel fake when you are comfortable in your surroundings and magic is happening. Every session is completely custom to each client I work with.
Over the years, I have definitely had my fair share of bumps and bruises along the way while growing my business to what it is today. I also know there are many more to come and I welcome them with open arms! Nothing happens overnight! Where I want to be tomorrow, next week, next year, 5 years from now is going to take the same hard work and dedication it has taken this far! Without all of the ups and downs, I would not have gotten to where I am today or grow to where I am supposed to be!
As much as I have grown over the years as a person and a photographer, my business has done the most growing, in my opinion. There have been so many changes over the years, some may say it is hard to keep up. A few things have always remained the same though; 1. My business name has always been Krystal Klear Photography & 2. My clients having an incredible experience with me and receiving moments they can cherish for a lifetime is my number one priority!
I am proud to say I have grown into a Boutique Photography Company and I am excited to see where it takes me from here. My passion lies within knowing I am doing everything in my power to make sure my clients receive everything that is perfect for their needs, right down to the final piece of artwork.
Yes, you should have backups of your images. Having a USB, disc or digital copies of your images are great, but the only thing that can truly be enjoyed from generation to generation is your printed artwork! It is the only thing that you know can be passed along to another and they will be able to reminisce about those moments. Your story, legacy and memories will be able to be enjoyed for years to come as your heirlooms are passed down. Anything printed will help preserve your moments, whether it be an album or wall art.
It makes me sad to think about the lost generations we are creating because everyone has their memories locked away in a drawer on media, which may not be supported in the future or could have been lost already. They are never where you think you left them, if and when you ever decide you want to have something printed. Another unfortunate truth is, computers and hard drives can fail, ALL THE TIME, without warning! What happens then, all of your precious memories are lost and most times you are not able to retrieve them. Trust me, I have had it happen to myself personally and it is a sickening feeling to know all your memories are gone forever!!
My passion and joy comes from knowing I have helped each of my clients to the fullest. When I see your personal artwork proudly displayed beautifully within your home, it makes my heart skip a beat. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t receive compliments about artwork like they do when it is their own families art pieces. Me only passing along digitals does not allow you to truly enjoy your cherished memories daily or wow everyone who visits your home.
