When this family reached out to me, it was my very first official day open since COVID started back in March and they were interested in a Newborn Session. I was over the moon with excitement when speaking with them. I wanted to see how I could bring their vision to life and create memories for this family. Initially we started to talk about an In Studio Newborn Session, but because of restrictions I was initially putting into place, I would not be able to have them come into the studio until July. The more we spoke, we came to the decision an Outdoor Lifestyle Newborn Session would be perfect for them. It was the best opportunity for me to be able to give them most of what they were looking for.

Planning for this session happened at warp speed!! As I got to know more about this amazing family, the more and more excited I became to work with them. I knew we were going to have a blast together and be able to capture their precious new baby girl, along with some sweet moments with big sister as well as with mom and dad. Three days after our initial conversation, we were wandering around a local park, capturing moments for everyone to cherish for a lifetime.

I could tell right from the beginning that Miss A. was completely smitten with her little sister and was so excited to show her off and tell me all about her. As I wrapped Miss M. up, her big sister definitely made sure everything was ok, but she was a little more keen on what mischief her and dad could come up with. I love being able to witness the bond between everyone before we even start. It is so special to watch. Among so many other things, this is something I love that I can and am asked to be apart of!!

Taking in everything around me, as I capture any session allows me to really get to know any client. It is something I do every time, so I can create a session which is unique and special to each of them. I go into every session with a rough plan of what we are going to do and what we are going to create, but the best moments happen unexpectedly and usually turn out to be some of the best! Those are the moments that can also be some of the favourites.

As their session progressed, I was there to be able to capture the sweet moments, the silly moments, the tender moments, the beautiful moments and every moment in between. The love mom and dad have for their girls was so precious to capture. The love big sister has for her little was adorable too! There really is nothing sweeter!!

Thank you Cook family for allowing and trusting me to capture your moments for you! I am so happy I have meet you and have been able to get to know you over this last little bit! You are amazing!
