I am not sure if you knew this or not, but July 1, 2016, is the official date which I announced I would be placing my focus on Krystal Klear Photography full time. To show how much all of you mean to me and how excited I am to celebrate, I want to pass along some Exclusive Summer Specials just for you!
Never in a million years would I have expected to be where I am now! Growing up you could usually find me with a camera in my hand, taking pictures of my family, friends and everything around me. It was never anything serious at the time and it definitely did not cross my mind I would be able to follow my passion into my adult world!
When choosing what I wanted to do ‘for the rest of my life’, I looked at everything but photography. Other avenues always “seemed” more interesting to me or where I thought I was supposed to be. One thing never failed though, every direction I ventured always had something to do within the creative field. It makes me giggle now that photography was just never one of those things I thought of as being my one and only. Even when my mom told me to enrol in a photography course in post secondary, I still dismissed it!
Fast forward a few years past college and a multitude of different career options, which I never truly found my heart in, I picked up my camera again and decided to maybe listen to what my mom had to say (shhh don’t tell her I said that!!). I thought, “I have tried everything else, so why not. I have nothing to lose but a shot. Photography might actually be where I am supposed to be”.
This brought me to my first photography course!! Am I ever glad I made the choice and stuck with it. It helped continue my journey to where I am today!! Even during all of this, I never thought I would be able to create photography magic full time and support my family. I always thought it would be something fun I could do on the side and maybe help bring in a little extra income, all the while having another full time job.
Sometimes I am the worst person to make any sort of decision, big or small! When it came time to decide to follow my passion in photography even further and make the leap full time, it was a painful and long process. Ask my husband! I am sure he would agree. There were so many thoughts that went through my head and so many fearful doubts!
EEEEEK ~ What was I getting myself into? With 4 years under my belt (5 years as a registered business and umpteen of years behind the lens) now, I am happy to report it was the best decision I every made and cannot believe I am where I am today!!

As with anything, there are always bumps and bruises along the way and I have had my fair share. I also know there are many more to come and I welcome them with open arms!
